Łukasz Siciński is a lecturer in the Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures, where he teaches Polish language, culture, and film. He has taught and designed a variety of courses, ranging from an introductory course on Polish culture to upper-level survey courses in Polish literature to more advanced seminars, including a course on Polish cinema and a seminar focusing on the category of rubbish in 20th century Polish prose, film, and theater. His research concentrates on the philosophical aspects of literature and film, with a special focus on epistemology and ethics. He is currently working on a book manuscript exploring the philosophical dimension of rubbish in the works of Miron Białoszewski and Tadeusz Różewicz.
